Chandigarh: Aman Arora has strongly reacted to Harjinder Singh Dhami’s use of abusive language towards a woman. He has also criticized the Punjab State Women’s Commission Chairperson Raj Lali Gill for ordering Dhami to apologize within four days for his derogatory remarks against former SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur.
As the Punjab President of the Aam Aadmi Party, Arora described the incident as extremely serious, stating that Dhami, as the president of the SGPC, should set a better example of conduct. He emphasized that while Dhami has publicly apologized, such language towards women is unacceptable and condemnable.
Commenting on the farmers’ movement, Arora noted that Jagjit Dallewal’s hunger strike has now reached its 19th day. He condemned the Haryana administration for using tear gas and water cannons against farmers. He stated that the Punjab government is trying to negotiate with the central government regarding the farmers’ legitimate demands, but the center is not willing to address their issues.
Aman Arora also questioned Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, suggesting that he views the people of Punjab as fools. He expressed concern over the delays in the central government’s resolution of farmers’ problems in Delhi.
Finally, regarding central minister Ravneet Singh Bittu, Arora pointed out that his statements frequently change. He suggested that if Bittu truly empathizes with the farmers, he should personally take their issues to the center, as he had done during his time in the Congress party.
