Border Security Force (BSF) personnel handed back a Pakistani national who had crossed the border by mistake in Amritsar, adjacent to the India-Pakistan international border, yesterday. The Pakistan Rangers praised the BSF for this move. This step was taken on humanitarian grounds and after Pakistan’s official demand. The BSF completed this process with utmost vigilance.
According to the information shared by the BSF, the Pakistani national had entered the Indian border by crossing the international border by mistake yesterday. The vigilant BSF personnel immediately took action and arrested him. After this, an investigation was started as per the protocol. In the initial investigation, the BSF found that the person had crossed the border by mistake and without any intention.
After this the Pakistan Rangers were contacted and the person was identified as per the rules. After which the BSF officials decided to hand him back.
All the necessary formalities and investigations were completed before handing over the person concerned. At the same time, the BSF also expressed concern to Pakistan that it is their responsibility to control such unauthorized activities.
The BSF said in its statement that it is fully committed to the security of the borders, but at the same time it is also its responsibility to show sensitivity in humanitarian matters. This incident once again showed that the BSF maintains human values along with strict border security.
