Two drug smugglers arrested in Amritsar

Amritsar: In Amritsar district, police arrested two accused who were going to sell heroin on a bike. Heroin worth Rs 7 crore has been recovered from the accused. At present, its backward and forward links are being checked.

Amritsar Rural SSP Charanjit Singh said that the rural police had received secret information that two accused were going to supply heroin. After which the police took immediate action and caught the accused by setting up a checkpost. When they were going to deliver heroin on a bike.

The police stopped them on the spot and searched them. During the search, 1 kg of heroin was recovered from the accused and the value is Rs 7 crore. The police also seized the bike. The arrested accused have been identified as Jatinder Singh resident Naushera Dhala and Avtar Singh resident Chahal, Tarn Taran.

SSP Charanjit Singh said that the backward and forward links of the accused are also being checked. Their property will also be investigated, and if any property has been acquired from drug smuggling, then it will be confiscated so that other drug smugglers can be taught a lesson and the network can be broken.
