Amritsar: In Amritsar, a senior lawyer killed his own wife by hitting her on the head with a sharp weapon. He kept hitting her on the head until she died. After the murder, he himself informed the police and called them for an investigation. When the police reached the spot, the husband kept repeating the same thing again and again, ‘she got the punishment for her deed.’
The murderer of his wife has been identified as Baljit Singh, a resident of Judge Nagar. Whereas, the deceased has been identified as 35 year-old Bikramjit Kaur, who was a teacher by profession. They have a son, who had gone to the gym at the time of the incident. Late at night, the police got a call and Baljit Singh informed that his wife had been murdered and he had killed her.
On hearing this, the police team immediately reached Judge Nagar. Baljit Singh was sitting near his wife’s body and was shouting. The police understood the delicacy and immediately took him into custody and took him to the police station. After this, the police started the investigation.
ACP Gurinderveer Singh informed that a case of murder has been registered against Baljit Singh under BNS 303 and an investigation has been started. After taking the body in custody, the accused will be medically examined, it will be seen whether he was intoxicated or not at the time of committing this crime. While the body has been taken into custody and sent to the mortuary. Forensic teams have reached the spot and evidence related to the incident is being collected.
