Amritsar: In a shocker from Amritsar, a woman’s charred body was found. The burnt body of a woman was found in an empty plot in front of Amritsar’s Naya wala maur. Police officers reached the spot and took the body into possession and sent for post-mortem.
Police have started the investigation from all angles. The investigating officer revealed identification could not be done at the moment as body was found in a completely burnt condition. Police also added that from the preliminary probe, it is said that the woman must be around 40 to 45 years old. A bottle of petrol was also found near the body of dead woman.
As soon as the information about the charred body of a woman broke out, sensation spread in the area. The body was found in a vacant plot of B Block in front of Naya Wala Maur, an area under Amritsar Police Station Gate Hakeem.
While talking to the media, ACP Jaspal Singh said that at present, it is not known who this woman was and where she was from. He added that it would be known only after the investigation whether it was a matter of suicide, accident, or murder. He further added that CCTV footage would be checked to find what exactly happened there.
