Jalandhar: Man attacked, shop vandalized as clashes erupt in Basti over mobile charger dispute

Jalandhar: An incident of bloody clash over a minor issue has come to light in Basti 9. According to the information received, a Guru Sikh person was beaten up over a mobile charger.

The victim Hardev Singh says that he runs a tea shop in Basti 9. Hardev Singh alleges that a person named Kalu had taken the mobile charger from his house a few days ago. Due to this, his mother brought the charger back from Kalu’s house, but he did not know about this. Hardev said that when he went to his house to get the charger 10 days ago, he started creating a ruckus asking why he had come to his house late at night to take the charger.

Hardev says that after 10 days today, Kalu came to his shop and attacked him over the same issue. The victim alleges that Kalu has also interfered in his cases. Hardev said that he is ashamed of this incident and if he does not get justice, he will do something to himself due to the pain he felt. The victim said that today again he started creating a ruckus over asking for the charger and started abusing it.

During this, Hardev said that he started fighting with him and vandalized the shop by knocking down the counter. As soon as the police got information about the incident, they reached the spot, but said that the area does not come under their jurisdiction. The matter is under the jurisdiction of Police Station Basti Bava Khel.
