New Delhi: The Supreme Court has issued strict orders regarding farmer leader Jagjit Dallewal, who is on fast unto death on the Khanauri border of Haryana and Punjab. The Supreme Court has directed the Punjab and Central governments to provide immediate medical assistance to Dallewal. Supreme Court made it clear that he must not be forced to eat. The court said that Dallewal’s life is more important than the farmers’ agitation.
The court also said that farmers should maintain peace and no force should be used on Dallewal. Let us tell you that the Supreme Court has given these orders during the hearing of the ongoing case regarding the opening of the Shambhu border. The committee formed by the Supreme Court has also submitted its interim report during this time, now the next hearing of this case will be on December 17.
Dallewal’s health deteriorating
Let us tell you that today, i.e. Friday, is the 18th day of Dallewal’s fast to death and his health is continuously deteriorating, Dallewal is a cancer patient. However, on Thursday, a team of cancer experts and government doctors from America examined him, after which it was said that his condition remains critical, his weight has decreased by about 12 kg and there is also a risk of kidney damage. There is also the possibility of a heart attack as his blood pressure and sugar levels have also dropped.
Let us tell you that a petition has also been filed in the Punjab-Haryana High Court to break Dallewal’s fast to death. Lawyer Vasu Ranjan Shandilya has said in the petition that his condition is critical, the hearing of this matter can be held today.
On the other hand, the DC of Ambala has also written a letter to the DC of Sangrur, expressing concern over the deteriorating law and order in Ambala due to Dallewal’s fast to death and has appealed to provide all medical facilities to Dallewal.
