Jalandhar: The police have made a shocking revelation regarding the death of Arjun awardee DSP Dalbir Singh. Giving information about the matter, Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma said that DSP Dalbir Singh has been shot dead.
He said that auto driver Vijay Kumar resident of Lambra has been arrested in this case. Giving information about the case, he said that an official pistol was also recovered from the accused. Police Commissioner said that the DSP, the auto driver drank alcohol at his maternal uncle’s dhaba. After which he asked the auto driver to leave him at his house in village Khojewal (district Kapurthala) to which Auto driver Vijay refused which further led to dispute between two.
During the dispute, the driver and Dalbir Singh had heated arguments on which the auto driver got angry and shot the DSP. The bullet hit DSP on the forehead. DSP died in this incident. Police Commissioner said that to solve this mystery, CIA staff, Crime Branch and Special Cell team worked together.
After scanning the CCTV footage, police took the auto driver into custody. During interrogation, he confessed the crime he committed.
