Bathinda Police’s action against drug smuggler

Bathinda: Bathinda Police has taken action against a drug smuggler who has earned property worth crores and deposited lakhs of rupees in his bank account by selling drugs. The police have frozen seven bank accounts of a drug smuggler. It is being told that the accused has property in other states too and the police is investigating.

DSP Talwandi Sabo Rajesh Snehi said that a case was registered against a drug smuggler, Tarsem Chand, a resident of Mod Mandi, last day. A large quantity of drugs was recovered from Tarsem Chand. Taking action, seven bank accounts of drug smuggler Tarsem Chand have been frozen.

He said that there were 1 crore, 7 lakh, and 6 thousand rupees in these accounts of the drug smuggler. Tarsem Chand had earned by selling drugs. He said that Tarsem Chand has made his property in many places in Punjab as well as Haryana and is being investigated. About a dozen cases have already been registered against Tarsem Chand.
