Bathinda: In a tragic incident, a 24-year-old youth allegedly died of a Drug overdose. The incident is from Bathinda district of the state where a youth was found dead on Sunday. It is suspected that he died of a Drug overdose.
Taking action in the matter Bathinda Police have also arrested one person having connection in the death of said youth. The deceased Youth has been identified as Mandeep Singh. Mandeep Singh belonged to Sekhu Village, Bathinda. Yestyerday on Sunday, Mandeep’s body was found near a drain between Tarkhanwala and Bagha villages.
As per the reports, Mandeep Singh worked in a refinery named Guru Gobind Singh Refinery. As per the family, he had left from home on Saturday for work but didn’t return home in the evening.
Giving more information Police said that Mandeep had informed his family that he would be staying with his friend named Jagdev Singh in Tarkhanwala village. But instead of Mandeep, what reached the family was his mortal remains. Mandeep’s body was found near the drain late on Sunday evening.
After his body was recovered, the Family lodged a complaint against Jagdev Singh with whom Mandeep had stayed on Saturday evening. Police added that the deceased’s friend Jagdev admitted to the fact that Mandeep died of the drug overdose.
