New Delhi: Union Minister for Road transport and Highways of India, Nitin Gadkari has announced developmental project worth Rs 539.37 crore for the state. In a post on X, He said , “In Punjab, an allocation of ₹539.37 Crore has been sanctioned for the construction of a 4-lane bypass with paved shoulders along National Highway 354.”

He also added that project spanning a total length of 17.19km is slated for development in the EPC mode under NH(O) for the fiscal year 2023-24. He further said in the post that the primary objective is to alleviate congestion in Ferozepur town and facilitate the seamless and secure flow of traffic on the national highway.
