Big relief to Punjabi Singer Gurdas Maan from HC: Orders given to dismiss plea against trial order

Chandigarh : The Punjab and Haryana High Court has given a big relief to Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan in the case of hurting religious sentiments. In the year 2021, the Sikh community had lodged an FIR in the case of Gurdas Maan describing Ladi Sai Ji, the successor of the Dargah in Nakodar, as a descendant of Shri Guru Amardas Ji Maharaj.

About 24 days ago, on May 27, the person who filed the case had challenged the decision given by the Nakodar court in the High Court. On which the court has given a verdict in favor of Gurdas Maan. Let us tell you that the Nakodar court had ordered the cancellation of the case registered against Gurdas Maan.

The High Court had accepted the petition of the said person named Harjinder Singh alias Zinda and issued notice to all the concerned parties. By issuing the notice, the High Court had sought a reply from all the parties by June 13.

The petitioner has clarified that Gurdas Maan described Ladi Sai as a descendant of Shri Guru Amardas Ji, due to which the religious sentiments of the Sikh community were hurt.

Gurdas Maan had apologized for the said comment

Let us tell you that when this matter became more heated, Gurdas Maan went live and apologized on his social media account. In which Gurdas Maan had said that the Sikh Sangat should forgive me. They can never even think of insulting the Guru. I have learned a lot from my Gurus, it is not my intention.

Gurdas Maan had said that a critic of a saint is a great killer. Guru Sahibans cannot be compared to anyone. I had definitely mentioned that Shri Guru Amardas Ji Maharaj was born in a good family and my Sai Ji was also born in a good family in Nakodar. If anyone has been hurt by my words, then I apologize 100 times.

What was the whole matter

Let us tell you that, Gurdas Maan had said in the year 2021 at the Nakodar Dera Baba Murad Shah fair that Ladi Shah, who was the throne holder of the Dera, was a descendant of the third Patshahi Guru Amardas Ji. When the video of this came out, the Sikh organizations got angry.

After protesting at the police station and SSP office, they had surrounded the national highway. After which the police had registered a case against Mann for hurting religious sentiments. Effigies of Gurdas Mann were also burnt. But Mann had issued a video and apologized to the Sangat.
