Chandigarh: The Punjab BJP Mahila Morcha has written a letter to the National Commission for Women, appealing to take serious note of the atrocities committed against women while filing nominations for the local body elections in Punjab recently.
BJP leader and State Mahila Morcha President Jai Inder Kaur has written a letter mentioning the incidents that took place in Patiala and described it as the height of barbarity.
She has written about how some goons snatched women’s files and run away and women were badly dragged during the filing of nominations.
She appealed that the Women’s Commission should take immediate action against such people. In the letter, Jai Inder Kaur has also held some people responsible.
