Jalandhar: Panic spread everywhere when the bodies of two ASIs of Punjab Police were found under suspicious circumstances near Khurdpur railway station in Adampur town in Jalandhar. Both of them had left after a theft accused, following which there was no trace of them. Late on Monday night, the bodies of both were recovered near the railway station.
Both ASIs were residents of Hoshiarpur. They have been identified as ASI Pritam Das and Jeevan Lal. They were posted in Kapurthala Police. The bodies of both have been taken into custody by the police of Jalandhar GRP station and sent for post-mortem.
Station master Naresh Raju said that he was on his duty as usual at night. He had just come out of his room when he saw something lying near a building being constructed at Khurdpur station. When he went closer and looked, they were the bodies of two people. After this the information about the case was immediately given to the Adampur police station. After this teams of Adampur police station and GRP police reached for investigation. The police had immediately called the forensic team in the case late at night.
