Brothers robbed sister’s house in Jagraon: Case registered against 3, one arrested

Ludhiana: A case of theft in sister’s house by two brothers together has come to light in Jagraon. The accused brothers broke the locks of the house stole the gold and sold it to jewelers of Sidhwan Bet. As soon as the victim woman came to know about this, she lodged a complaint with the police. The police investigated the matter and registered a case against 3 accused including the jewelers who bought the stolen gold in Police Station Dakha.

The accused have been identified as Mandeep Singh alias Mani resident of Kot-Maan, Jaswant Singh alias Bamba resident of Mandiani and Kala Garg Jewelers owner resident of Sidhwan Bet. Police arrested one accused. While two accused are absconding. The accused has been identified as Mandeep Singh.

ASI Tarsem Singh of Police Station Dakha said that the victim woman Sandeep Kaur resident of Mandiani told the police in the complaint lodged that after the death of her husband, she lives with her two children in village Mandiani. After the death of her husband, she takes care of herself and her children by working in a boutique.

The victim woman told that she has two brothers Mandeep Singh and Jaswant Singh. Both her brothers used to come to her house often. Due to this her brothers had complete information about her house. The victim woman said that after her children went to school, she locked her house and went to the boutique. Later her brothers opened the locks of the house and stole an 11-gram necklace, 10-gram earring chain and locket of 8 grams, two rings of 10 grams and two earrings of 10 grams from the house. On November 16, she came to know about the theft.

Accused brother Mandeep told that he had committed the crime along with his other brother. After stealing the gold, they sold it to Garg Jewelers of Sidhwan Bet. When she talked to the owner of Garg Jewelers regarding this, the shop owner started making excuses. The victim woman said that she is sure that her brothers have stolen the gold and sold it to the owner of Garg Jewelers. After this the police included the jeweler owner along with the two accused brothers in the case and registered a case against all three accused.
