Joint operation by Punjab Police and BSF: Four arms smugglers arrested in Amritsar

In a joint operation, Punjab’s Amritsar Police and BSF have taken major action against the arms smuggling gang operating across the border. Police have arrested four smugglers. 8 pistols (5 .30 caliber and 3 9 mm caliber) and magazines were seized from them.

DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav gave this information. He has shared information in this regard by posting a post on his social media account. He said that the matter is being investigated by the police.

According to the police, all the accused are residents of Amritsar and Tarn Taran areas. These include Lakhwinder Singh and Harpreet Singh residents of Dande, Amritsar, and Akashdeep Singh and Gurpreet Singh residents of Kasel, Tarn Taran. Police say that an FIR has been registered against the accused at Gharinda police station in Amritsar. Further investigation is on to expose the entire network and its relations.

Anti-drone technology will arrive by October

The police has prepared a complete strategy to stop the smuggling of weapons and drugs coming through drones from across the border. Anti-drone technology will soon be purchased by the Punjab government. Trials have been conducted with companies for this. It is believed that this system will reach the Punjab Police by October.

After this, the consignment coming from Pakistan can be easily stopped. On the other hand, the government is running a war against drugs. In this, people involved in drug smuggling are being arrested under the legal process.
