Tarn Taran: Vigilant Border Security Force Troops recovered a pistol and 2 magazines in the border area of Tarn Taran. The recovery has been by BSF in collaboration with the Punjab Police.
On 29th July 2024, based on information shared by the BSF regarding presence of a suspicious packet in border area of district Tarn Taran, a joint search operation by BSF troops in collaboration with Punjab Police was conducted in the suspected area.
During the search, at about 02:19 PM, the troops successfully recovered one packet wrapped in yellow adhesive tape. Upon unpacking the packet 01 Pistol without slide & barrel and 02 pistol magazines were found inside.
This recovery took place in a farming field adjacent to village Mastgarh in district Tarn Taran.
A specific input shared by BSF intelligence wing followed by swift action by the resolute & vigilant BSF troops and Punjab police resulted into this significant recovery of weapon in border area.
