BSF, Punjab police seized packet of Heroin in Tarn Taran

Punjab Border Security Force troops recovered a packet of heroin near the border area of Tarn taran district. The search operation was carried out after the troops received reliable information about the presence of a suspected heroin packet near the border area of strict Tarn Taran. The recovery was made yesterday by Punjab BSF in collaboration with Punjab Police.

After receiving information, BSF troops and Punjab Police promptly conducted a search operation in the suspected area. During the search operation, at around 12:15 pm, the troops successfully recovered 01 packet of suspected heroin. The Gross weight of the packet recovered in the search operation is 473 Grams.

The narcotics were wrapped in yellow and black adhesive tape. A metal ring and an illumination device were also found attached to the packet.

This recovery occurred in a farming field adjacent to Kalia village in Tarn Taran District. Reliable information followed by prompt, coordinated action by the troops of BSF and Punjab Police resulted in this significant recovery of narcotics smuggled from across the border.
