BSF recovers drone along with heroin in Tarn Taran

Tarn Taran: Border Security Force troops displaying their quick and vigilant reaction have recovered a drone along with a packet of narcotics in the border area. The recovery has been made in the village Kalia in the Tran Taran district.

During the night hours of 6th August 2024, BSF troops on duty observed a drone movement. Immediately, following the laid-down protocol an extensive search operation was launched.

At about 04:00 a.m. search party successfully recovered one drone and a packet of suspected heroin (gross weight: 547 grams). The narcotics were wrapped in red and yellow adhesive tape and attached to the drone with a metal ring. An illuminating stick was also found attached to the packet.

This recovery took place near a road junction adjacent to the village of Kalia in the Tarn Taran district. The recovered drone has been identified as a China-made DJI AIR-3.

The quick reaction by the vigilant BSF troops resulted in the significant recovery of a drone with narcotics launched from across the border.
