Amritsar: On 14th Jun’ 2024, vigilant BSF troops on duty successfully recovered 02 drones one each in the border area of district Tarn Taran and Amritsar respectively.
a) In one operation, During the morning hours at about 10:15 am, vigilant BSF troops on duty recovered 01 drone in burnt and broken condition from a farming field ahead of border security fence adjacent to village- Naushera Dhalla of district Tarn Taran.
b) In another incident, based on information of BSF intelligence wing regarding presence of a drone in border area of Amritsar district, BSF troops launched a search operation leading to the recovery of 01 drone in broken condition at about 05:45 am from a farming field adjacent to village- Kahangarh in district Amritsar.
Both the drones have been identified as China made DJI Mavic 3 Classic. Keen observation and swift action of BSF troops thwarted the illicit attempts of drone intrusion in Punjab from across the border.
