Canadian Sikh MP Iqwinder Gaheer meets UK Sikh MP Tanmanjeet Dhesi

Chandigarh: During his visit to England, Canadian Sikh MP Iqwinder  Gaheer met with British Sikh MP Tanmanjit Singh Dhesi in Saloh, where the two Members of Parliament held wide-ranging discussions on political and global Sikh affairs.

In a  statement, Tanmanjit Dhesi described Iqwinder Singh Gaheer as a talented and dynamic man of the country who has immense potential to contribute significantly to the welfare of the Sikh community within Canada. Dhesi said the meeting saw in-depth discussions on various aspects of international politics, recent global Sikh concerns, and exploration of opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

The two distinguished Parliamentarians held bilateral discussions to deepen understanding and enhance cooperation on political matters as well as important issues related to the Sikh community, to address the common concerns of the Sikh diaspora across the world, and to safeguard their interests.

Furthermore, the discussion aimed to identify areas for enhancing bilateral cooperation and unity between Canada and the United Kingdom.

This meeting is significant as a testament to the commitment and collaborative spirit of the leaders as they strive to address critical issues affecting the Sikh community globally, promote unity and find avenues for inter-communal cooperation.
