Ludhiana: A case of rape of a two-and-a-half-year-old girl has come to light in Maloud, Khanna area of Ludhiana district. In this case, accused Shailesh Yadav alias Kalu, resident of village Biduni, police station Sairo, district Kasganj (Uttar Pradesh), has been arrested. A case has been registered in the Maloud police station under Section 65(2) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 6 of the POCSO Act. The accused lived on rent in a village in Maloud.
In the complaint lodged with the police, the mother of the victim said that she was taking a bath in the house. Her two-and-a-half-year-old daughter was playing outside. When she came out after taking a bath, the girl was not seen. Earlier also, her daughter used to go to the house of the accused, Shailesh Yadav. She went to Shailesh’s house. He had closed the door of the room. She kept knocking on the door. Then Shailesh opened the door and got angry.
Shailesh was not wearing clothes. The girl came out crying from inside. The girl kept crying even after going home. When she was medically examined, the truth came out.
Woman sub-inspector Rajwant Kaur, who is investigating the case, said that a case was registered against the accused, and he was immediately arrested. She said that the girl had been medically examined. The police are conducting further investigations in the case.
