Chandigarh: In a shocking development which led to Panic among many, a government hospital in Chandigarh has received a bomb threat. As soon as the threat was received, police and fire brigade reached the spot to assess the situation. Bomb squad team has also reached the spot. Police have evacuated the hospital and a search operation is underway. The Government Hospital in Chandigarh received bomb threat through email today.
Threat to blow up Chandigarh hospital
According to the information, a hospital in Sector 32 of Chandigarh has received a bomb threat. Apart from the government hospital, a Mental Health institute in sector 32 also received threat of similar pattern.
Search operation underway
According to the police, this could also be a hoax, but taking it seriously, all kinds of safety arrangements are being made. The threatening mail came at 9:40 am today. Search operation is being conducted in the hospital.
At the same time, hospital officials said that after the threat, all the patients have been shifted to another place keeping in mind their safety. Checking is being done in the entire hospital.
