Chandigarh: After many rounds of counting, India Bloc candidate from candidate Manish Tewari has been declared winner from the Chandigarh seat.
In a close contest, Manish Tewari has won the seat by 3,613 votes. He defeated BJP candidate Sanjay Tandon in a narrow contest.

As of the trends till 11.30 am, Congress candidate Manish Tewari has maintained a strong lead in Union Territory Chandigarh. With a total of 74844 votes, Manish Tewari is ahead BJP Candidate Sanjay Tandon with margin of 6 thousand votes.
“It is Tuesday, Hanuman’s day. People have expressed their opinions. The opinions are locked in the EVMs. The EVMs will open and the opinion will come out. Whatever the people’s decision will be, everyone should accept it with respect. This is the capability of Indian democracy,” Tewari said ahead of the counting of votes.
