Chandigarh Mayoral Elections: Elections to be held on January 30, orders HC

Chandigarh: Punjab and Haryana High Court ordered that Chandigarh Mayor Election will be held on January 30 at 10 am. High Court ordered that Councilors will come to vote without any security at 10 am.

Further, during voting, there will be no supporters of any party there. Chandigarh Police will ensure the safety arrangements during day of election.

Mayoral elections in Chandigarh were supposed to take place on January 18 but were called off all of a sudden following ill health of the Anil Masih, presiding authority for the elections.
