Chandigarh Police to Implement Face ID Attendance for All Personnel from June 1

Chandigarh, May 25: It will not be easy to take leave from duty in Chandigarh Police, because now it will be mandatory for 7 thousand jawans of Chandigarh Police to reach duty on time. Now their attendance will be taken through face ID. A circular has been issued to all the police stations in this regard by SP Headquarters Manjeet Sheoran. This new system will be implemented from June 1.

Under this, all the policemen will have to download a special app on their mobile. Their face ID profile will be created in this app, and after reaching duty every day, they will have to give attendance through the same app.

The special thing is that when a soldier marks his attendance, his location will also be automatically tracked, which will ensure that he is present at his duty location.

Sabha officials will have to mark their attendance

Till now, only the jawans posted at the police headquarters were required to mark their biometric attendance, but now this system will be implemented in the entire police department. Earlier, the attendance of inspectors and other senior officers was not taken, but now policemen of all ranks will mark their attendance through the Face Attendance App.

The jawans posted in the traffic wing of Chandigarh Police already have to reach their duty point and mark their attendance through selfie. Now on the same lines, face attendance is being made mandatory in the entire department.

Action will be taken in case of absence

In the new system, if a policeman does not mark his attendance, it will be considered as his absence. Earlier this rule was applicable in the headquarters, now the jawans doing duty in the field will also come under its purview. This will ensure punctuality and accountability in the police department.
