Jalandhar Police arrest 9 drug smugglers

Jalandhar: City police in Jalandhar, Punjab, have arrested about nine accused with more than one lakh narcotic pills. DGP Gaurav Yadav has shared this information. In this regard, police raided several locations and recovered the narcotic pills and capsules.

Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav said: Jalandhar Police has given a big blow to the international drug network. Jalandhar Commissionerate Police had arrested nine people while busting the drug network.

1.11 lakh pills have been recovered from them. Police have registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act and started an investigation. The crime record of all the arrested accused is being investigated.

According to the information received, the police continued raids in Agra for about three days in this case. Police arrested Sumit from there. This case was registered against four people, after which other people were named in the case.

After the arrest of Sumit from Agra, the police have arrested about nine accused one by one. Soon the police commissioner will share information about the case in a press conference. his action has been taken by the Special Cell of the Commissionerate Police.
