CM Bhagwant Mann slams BJP leader Sunil Jakhar

Jalandhar : Describing Punjab BJP chief Sunil Jakhar as a new example of turncoat, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Jakhar should look within himself before pointing fingers at others. In a statement, the Chief Minister said that before spreading false propaganda, Jakhar, who changes colors like a chameleon, must tell on behalf of which party he is speaking. He said that Jakhar first enjoyed power by being the state president of Congress and when his credibility diminished in the corridors of power, he joined BJP.

The Chief Minister said that now Jakhar has started feeling that BJP will not achieve anything in Punjab in the Lok Sabha elections, hence he is requesting for an alliance with the Akali Dal. The Chief Minister said that perhaps Jakhar is the only politician who, despite being the head of BJP, is roaming around as the spokesperson of Akali Dal for the security of his political future. The Chief Minister said that Jakhar should at least tell the people on behalf of which party he is speaking.

The Chief Minister told Jakhar in clear words not to consider the people of Punjab as fools. “Never play any game with Punjabis. Rather, answer the people as to why instead of talking about Punjab, you are roaming around as the spokesperson of the parties which are ruining the state. In the lust for power, why are you so eager to forget the issues of Punjab and get BJP’s alliance with Akali Dal”.

The Chief Minister said that the opposition parties should read the writing on the wall that in the Lok Sabha elections, Punjabis will give a clear mandate in favor of the Aam Aadmi Party which is making strong efforts for the development of the state.
