Bilaspur: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, accompanied by his wife Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, paid a visit to the revered Maa Naina Devi Temple in the Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh on Friday. The visit took place amid the ongoing Navratri celebrations.
CM performs Havan Yagya, Prayers for the state’s prosperity
During his spiritual visit, CM Mann participated in a Havan yagna and offered prayers to Maa Naina Devi. He prayed for the prosperity and well-being of Punjab. His wife, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, was also actively involved in the rituals. Notably, she had earlier participated in a similar Havan Yagya at a temple in Ludhiana.
Tight Security, smooth arrangements for devotees
The local administration ensured tight security and smooth arrangements during the Chief Minister’s visit. Officials made sure that regular devotees did not face any inconvenience due to the high-profile visit.
Friday marked the seventh day of Navratri, dedicated to the worship of Goddess Kalratri- fierce form of Durga. Worship on this day is considered highly auspicious for eliminating fear, defeating enemies, and protecting devotees from accidents and diseases.
