Chandigarh: In view of continuing inclement weather conditions, Chandigarh Administration has decided to extend the holidays. In its recent order, it was said that in view of the continuous bad weather there will be no physical classes up to class V in any government, government aided and recognized private schools of UT Chandigarh on 23rd, 24th and 25th.
This decision has been taken in view of cold and dense fog.
Schools can organize online classes for these classes
The order further said, “Schools may consider conducting online classes on 23rd, 24th and 25th January 2024, as opposed to physical mode, in view of weather conditions and forecast for the week commencing 22nd January 2024 for classes VI and above.”
However, if the school chooses to introduce physical classes for grades six and above, the school must take adequate precautions to ensure that no child is exposed to cold weather while in or on the way to and from school.
