Amritsar: An Innova car and a tractor collided violently this morning in Amritsar, Punjab. Both drivers of the Innova car and the tractor died in the accident. The Innova car has been badly damaged due to a collision with a tractor.
The collision was so intense that the tractor broke into two parts. After getting the information, the police reached the spot and sent both the bodies for postmortem. At present, the police is busy investigating the matter.
According to the passersby, the tractor had left for Batala from Amritsar this morning. It was loaded with paddy. When it reached near Doon School on Verka bypass, an Innova car coming from behind hit it. The collision was so strong that the Innova was completely shattered and overturned. The tractor also broke completely and the driver came under it. Both the people in the car and the tractor driver died in the accident.
At present, both have not been identified. But the tractor rider is said to be a resident of Tarn Taran. Reportedly, the Innova driver was probably coming from the airport and was driving at a very high speed. Overspeeding is said as the reason for the collision between the innova car and tractor.
The police reached the spot and are investigating the matter. According to the police, the Innova driver probably dozed off. As per police, The Innova car driver is from a village near Chaugawan.
