Congress MPs and MLAs came in support of Partap Singh Bajwa, surrounded the Mann government

Congress MPs, MLAs and senior leaders came out in support of Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Partap Singh Bajwa after political vendetta by AAP. Congress MPs, MLAs and leaders asked the AAP government not to divert people’s attention from the serious threat posed to peace and harmony in Punjab. They said that what Bajwa had revealed is already in the public domain and has been reported in various newspapers for several days.

The leaders drew the government’s attention to more than twenty incidents of grenade attacks on police stations, religious places, and the residence of a senior BJP leader, along with the desecration of statues of Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Condemning the government’s heavy-handed attitude and attempts to intimidate and implicate Bajwa, Congress leaders told the government that nothing can save it from its crimes.

Senior Congress leaders reiterated that the threat to peace and harmony in Punjab is real and serious, to which Bajwa has drawn everyone’s attention, while the government is trying to divert attention. They stressed that the Congress party will continue to hold the government accountable no matter how much it tries to threaten.

Soni, Avtar Henry Senior, Rana KP Singh, Balbir Singh Sidhu, Captain Sandeep Sandhu, Gurkirat Singh Kotli, Dr. Rajkumar Verka, Pawan Adhia, Sukhminder Danny, Sukhpal Bhullar and others were present.

In addition, all the District Congress Committee Presidents across Punjab also condemned the attempts to intimidate the Leader of the Opposition.

It should be noted that Senior Punjab Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Pratap Singh Bajwa landed in trouble after an interview given to a TV channel. An FIR has been registered against him at the State Cyber ​​Crime Police Station in Mohali. A case has been registered against Bajwa under sections 197 (1) (D) and 353 (2) of the BNS.
