Chandigarh court summons to Punjabi singer Gippy Grewal

Chandigarh: The court of Mohali district of Punjab, adjacent to Chandigarh, has sent a bailable summons to famous Punjabi singer and artist Gippy Grewal to appear in court. This summons has been sent by him in the case of a threat received from gangster Dilpreet Baba through a message in 2018. A case was registered in this matter at the Phase-8 police station in Mohali.

On July 24, the Mohali court also sent him a bailable summons of Rs 5,000 to appear. Now the next hearing in this case will be on August 20. Gippy Grewal has to testify in court.

On May 31, 2018, Gippy Grewal received a voice and text message on his WhatsApp from an unknown number. He was asked to talk to gangster Dilpreet Singh Baba. It was written in it that this message had been sent to demand ransom. You should talk, or else your condition will become like Parmish Verma and Chamkila. After this, Gippy Grewal complained about this to Mohali Police.

Mohali Police had registered a case on Gippy Grewal’s complaint. Now Gippy Grewal is being called for testimony, but he is not appearing in court. At the time when he received this threat, he was out of Punjab for the promotion of his movie Carry On Jatta 2.

According to the information, Gippy Grewal is currently in Canada. That is why he is not getting the court summons. But in this case, Gippy Grewal being the main complainant, his testimony is necessary. Therefore, the court has sent a summons again today. Apart from this, on the last hearing, summons were also sent to DSP Rupinder Singh Sohi of the Punjab Police. But she also did not appear in court.

At the same time, the jail authority had also sent a summons to Dilpreet Singh Baba, the accused in the case, through SSP Mohali. The police have not been able to present him in court on a production warrant.
