“CYBER KIOSK” Inaugurated by special DGP Ram Singh at the CP Office Jalandhar

Commissionerate Police Jalandhar has taken another major step to enhance digital safety with the installation of a Cyber Kiosk Machine at the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar.

Jalandhar, July 22: Commissionerate Police Jalandhar has taken another major step to enhance digital safety with the installation of a Cyber Kiosk Machine at the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Special DGP (Technical Support Services) Ram Singh IPS, accompanied by Commissioner of Police Jalandhar, Dhanpreet Kaur IPS, Joint CP Sandeep Kumar, DCP Investigation Manpreet Singh Dhillon, and other senior police officials.

The Cyber Kiosk is a standalone security device designed to detect malicious, suspicious, or harmful files and applications on mobile phones and USB storage devices, thereby enabling citizens to ensure the safety of their digital data.

In addition, a targeted CASO was conducted across the city under the leadership of Ram Singh along with CP Jalandhar and the concerned ACPs. The operation focused on identified hotspot areas, with multiple checkpoints established across the city to curb drug trafficking and apprehend criminal elements.
Later, Special DGP Ram Singh chaired a high-level meeting with CP Jalandhar, JCP Jalandhar, and senior officers, including Gaurav Toora (SSP Kapurthala), Sandeep Kumar Malik (SSP Hoshiarpur) and Harwinder Singh Virk (SSP Jalandhar Rural).
The discussion centered around strengthening law & order and intensifying efforts to curb drug-related activities across key regions.

Commissionerate Police Jalandhar urged citizens to utilize the newly installed Cyber Kiosk to safeguard their digital devices from harmful content. This initiative reflects the Police Department’s commitment to citizen safety, smart policing, and proactive cybercrime prevention.
