Devotees to celebrate Diwali, 1.25 lakh lamps will be lit today in Shaktipeeth Shri Devi Talab Temple

Jalandhar: Of course, the program of consecration of the idol of Ramlala is taking place in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, but here the city of Jalandhar is also immersed in religious fervour and has completely become Rammay. While saffron is fluttering on houses and vehicles, the famous Shaktipeeth of North India, Shri Devi Talab Temple, is fully decorated to welcome Lord Ram.

Shri Devi Talab Temple looks no less than Ayodhya. The temple has been completely decorated with colorful flowers as well as colorful lights. 1.25 lakh lamps have been decorated to welcome Ram Lala, rangolis are being specially made by the devotees. Devotees have started arriving in the temple since yesterday. After the ceremony, diyas will be lit in the Devi Talab Mandir

Punjab’s famous industrialist and head of Shri Devi Talab Mandir Committee Sheetal Vij has appealed to the Punjabis living in the country and abroad to light up every house to welcome Ram Lala. Light lamps in your homes, temples and premises, Said Mr Shital Vij.

He said that the famous pilgrimage center of North India, Shaktipeeth, is fully prepared to welcome Lord Shri Ram. He said that Shri Devi Talab Mandir  has taken the form of Ayodhya. He said that a lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the devotees regarding the consecration of Shri Ram Lala.

Sheetal Vij, head of Shri Devi Talab Temple Committee, said that after 500 years of long fight, efforts and sacrifice of many Ram devotees, now Shri Ram temple is being constructed. The statue of Shri Ram Lala Ji is being consecrated in the temple. Everyone should celebrate this victory after hundreds of years like Diwali.

He said that there is a different enthusiasm among Ram devotees not only in Jalandhar but in entire Punjab. All the temples in the state have been decorated to welcome Ram Lala. He said that Shri Devi Talab Temple Committee has been busy in preparations to welcome Shri Ram Lala for the last one month.
