After setting the deadline to end drug abuse, DGP Gaurav Yadav has called a meeting of SSPs and CPs of all districts today (April 29). The meeting will be held in Chandigarh. During this, the plan to make every district drug-free will be made.

The DGP has already made it clear that drug abuse will be eradicated within the stipulated period. After this, there will be a third-party review of the entire campaign. During this, the police personnel whose work will be good will be honored, while action will be taken against others.

The government is trying to strengthen itself for the battle of the assembly elections to be held in 2027 by ending drug abuse and winning the trust of the people. Because the party came to power in 2022 with the promise of ending drug abuse. But even after three years, nothing special was done in this direction.
