DGP Gaurav Yadav conducts midnight checking at checkpoints in Ludhiana, reviewed working of police

Ludhiana:Last night Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav reached Ludhiana at around 11.30 pm. He conducted surprise visit and inspected the special checkpoints. He also talked to the drivers who were getting checked at the checkpoints by Police. Ludhiana Police Commissioner Kuldeep Chahal, and DCP Rural Jaskiranjit Singh Teja were also present with DGP Yadav.

As soon as the district police administration got information about DGP Gaurav Yadav’s surprise inspection, the police force was immediately deployed on the roads. Police personnel blocked every intersection.

According to the information, checking of vehicles was going on at a special checkpoint on Chandigarh Road. DGP Yadav’s convoy stopped there. While talking to the drivers, he asked them whether any police personnel ever misbehaved at the checkpoint during the checking.

Gaurav Yadav also reviewed the working of the police at the ground level by talking to the people. People also told DGP Yadav that they feel safe in the city only because of the police. DGP Yadav also inspected the vehicles and checked the register set up by the police for checking. DGP Yadav said that special checking will continue in the coming days as well.

In a post on X, DGP Yadav shared about the surprise inspections conducted last night in SAS Nagar, Ludhiana, Khanna and Fatehgarh Sahib. He said, “Last night went out for # Night Domination Operations and conducted surprise inspections in SAS Nagar, Ludhiana, Khanna, & Fatehgarh Sahib Districts at Police Stations and Naka Points. Reviewed the working of special checkpoints and monitored on-ground police work. Engaged with police officers at cutting edge level. Interacted with the citizens at these stops to hear firsthand about their experiences and interactions with the police, glad to learn that the public feels safer with our increased presence. Reviewed the effectiveness of crime combat apps like VAHAN and PAIS at ground level. These special vehicle checks will continue to ensure enhanced security and effective law enforcement. “
