Diljit Dosanjh starrer ‘Punjab 95’ not to release on February 7: ‘Circumstances beyond Control’

Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh’s film ‘Punjab 95’ will no longer be released internationally on February 7. Diljit himself has shared this information with his fans. The film is based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, a resident of Tarn Taran district of Punjab. There is already a controversy going on in India regarding its release.

Diljit Dosanjh shared in his Instagram story – “We are sad to inform that the film ‘Punjab 95’ will not be released on February 7, some circumstances are beyond our control.

This film was already not being released in India. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had demanded 120 cuts in the film, but the film’s producer, director, and Khalra’s family members did not agree to this. After this, it was decided that this film would not be shown in Indian theaters. Not only this, the teaser of the film was also removed from YouTube in India.

Earlier, Diljit Dosanjh himself had posted a story on Instagram and told that the film is releasing abroad (Australia, UK (United Kingdom), Canada and America) on February 7.

Sharing a post on social media, Diljit himself has told about the release date of the film. In the post, Diljit wrote – Full Movie, No Cuts. It became clear from Diljit’s post that this film is now going to be released without cuts.

In view of the release of the film, Diljit Dosanjh had also postponed the release date of his new music album. Diljit recently took out the Dil Luminati Tour and performed live concerts across the country. After this, on January 1, he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi. Diljit saluted PM Modi and the PM also welcomed Dosanjh by saying Sat Shri Akaal.
