AAP women President and Sarpanch clash in Fazilka: Dispute over MNREGA work sparks heated argument and abuse allegations

Fazilka: A case of dispute between the AAP women president and the sarpanch over MNREGA works has come to light in Dhani Kartar Singh of village Kathgarh in Jalalabad in Fazilka. Both parties have accused each other. The women president says that the sarpanch has abused her, while the sarpanch has denied the allegations of the women president.

Kailash Kaur, the woman who is said to be the block president of the Aam Aadmi Party from Jalalabad, said that after she met with the MLA, MNREGA work started on July 5. The work was carried out properly for 15 days. She alleged that today the Sarpanch took the work for which she had filled the demand, and the names of the people present with her were removed from that list. Due to this, these people were not given work. She alleged that when she protested against this, the Sarpanch abused and misbehaved with her.

On the other hand, Sarpanch Balwinder Singh says that ever since the Panchayats have been dissolved, MNREGA work has been stopped. Which has been started now, so that people can get work. But now the people of his village are being misled by the woman head, Kailash Kaur. He told me that today the muster roll of the work of the said woman came out in her group due to a technical mistake. And due to her name not being in the demand, she was mistreated. The Sarpanch told that there were names of 120 people in the muster roll, in which there was a computer mistake. Names of 108 people were removed from this list. 12 people remained, although they completely rejected the allegations made by the said woman.
