Kapurthala’s Subhanpur police station has arrested a drug smuggler. During patrolling, the police suspected a young man standing under a bridge in a suspicious condition. During the investigation, 40 grams of heroin were recovered from him.
The accused has been identified as Jatin Hans, a resident of the Danish Manda colony in Jalandhar. According to SHO Amandeep Kumar, ASI Sukhwinder Kumar was on patrol with his team.
Seeing a young man standing with a bike under the bridge, the team stopped him and searched him.
The police have registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act. According to police officials, interrogation of the accused is going on. In the investigation, it is being ascertained from where he used to bring the drugs and to whom he used to supply it.
