Chandigarh: The Punjabi Month events being organized by the Language Department Punjab will begin today at Patiala. Language Minister Punjab Harjot Singh Bains will attend the event as the chief guest.
Jaswant Singh Zafar, Director of the Punjab Language Department, will preside over the function, which will be held at the department’s head office in Patiala.
On this occasion, awards for the best literary books related to 2022, 23, and 24 of Punjabi language will also be given and there will also be cultural presentations on this occasion.
Goshtis, ruburus, seminars, poets’ court, plays, folk dances and musical presentations will be held across the state during Bhasha month. Exhibitions of departmental books will also be organized during the whole event.
