For the elections of municipal corporations, municipal councils, and town councils, 4,947 candidates have submitted their nominations. After scrutiny, only 4,508 candidates were found eligible. On the day of withdrawal, 1,172 candidates removed their names from the candidate list, leaving 3,336 candidates in the fray for the elections scheduled for December 21.
Voting will take place on December 21 from 7 AM to 4 PM, and the results will be declared the same day after the counting of votes. The Election Commission has chosen December 21 to coincide with religious activities. Additionally, urban areas will have an extra hour for voting.

The total number of voters is approximately 3.732 million, including 1.955 million male voters, 1.775 million female voters, and 204 transgender voters.
