Explosion of cylinder in Kitchen, One woman severely injured

Ludhiana: An elderly woman was badly burnt due to a fire in Hargobind Nagar area of ​​Ludhiana last night. Before the accident, the woman was making tea. Suddenly gas leaked from the cylinder. After an explosion in the kitchen, a fire broke out. When the woman shouted, people from the vicinity immediately gathered and brought her to the Civil Hospital. Seeing the critical condition of the victim, the doctors immediately referred her to Chandigarh PGI.

The accident happened while making tea

Giving information, the husband of the victim Pushpa (55), Valeti Ram, said that both the husband and wife live alone at home. On Thursday night, his wife had gone to make tea in the kitchen built in the house, during which he was sitting outside the house with an acquaintance. Suddenly there was a loud explosion and he saw that his house was on fire.

Valeti Ram told that his wife Pushpa was screaming loudly after getting caught in the fire in the kitchen. Then he gathered the people of the area and took his wife out and took her to the Civil Hospital. From there she was referred to Chandigarh PGI in critical condition.

According to the victim’s husband Valeti Ram, he had installed a new cylinder on Thursday morning. Little did he know that the new cylinder would cause an accident at his house at night. He said that with the help of the people in the neighbourhood, the fire was brought under control by pouring water on it. Due to the fire, the kitchen items were burnt to ashes.
