Fake IAS officer arrested in Mohali

Chandigarh: In Mohali, Punjab, the police have arrested a fake IAS officer who used to roam around the area completely like a real officer. He used to drive his car with a plate written “Bharat Sarkar” on it.

The accused used to cheat people on the pretext of providing them jobs. He has been identified as Pawan Kumar, a resident of Rajasthan. Police of Phase-1 police station in Mohali has registered a case in this regard and started investigation. Police has come to know that he had brought two people to Mohali on the pretext of getting them a job.

The truth was revealed during the stay at the hotel

Investigation has revealed that the accused used to bring people from other states to Mohali on the pretext of giving them jobs and used to stay in expensive hotels. He used to show off his influential contacts in front of people, so that no one would suspect him. But this time, his behavior got him into trouble.

It is being told that he had brought some people to the hotel where he was staying. During this time, he got into an argument with them over something. The hotel staff became suspicious of him, after which they informed the police. The police immediately reached the spot and took him into custody.

Fake ID cards and documents recovered

When the police took the accused into custody, fake ID cards and fake documents of several government departments were recovered from him. However, police officials are currently refraining from giving more information in this case.

The police have produced the accused in the court and obtained a two-day remand. It is believed that soon senior police officers will hold a press conference and make a disclosure in this case.

The accused is handicapped, the car also belongs to someone else

The accused is very clever and used to commit fraud with complete preparation. Investigation has also revealed that the car he was using was not his own but belonged to someone else. Apart from this, the accused is a handicapped person and has difficulty in walking. At the same time, he talks in Hindi language.
