Amritsar, June 8: The Excise Department conducted a raid in the Fatehpur area of Amritsar and recovered 45 bottles of fake liquor. Two accused, named Sagu and Lali, fled from the spot.
According to the police, both accused were selling fake liquor in the Fatehpur area. 45 bottles of liquor packed in 9 packets were recovered during the raid. The police have registered a case and started searching for the accused.
Let us tell you that, recently, 26 people died after drinking spurious liquor in Majitha, Amritsar. After which, apart from arresting some people, police officers were also suspended. During that time, chemicals used to make spurious liquor were also seized. After that, the police are still taking action and catching the fake liquor dealers.
