Farmers agitation continues on the railway track at Shambhu railway station, 44 trains cancelled, 64 changed routes

Rajpura : Farmers agitation on the railway track at Shambhu railway station continued for the eighth day. Due to the ongoing strike since April 17, 112 trains were affected on and 44 trains had to be cancelled. 64 trains had to be diverted.


Passengers were suffering in the heat due to the affected train traffic. Long-distance commuters had to wait for hours at the station for trains. The passers-by say that the farmers are angry with the government but the people are having to bear the punishment.

Agitation will Intensify

Pandher said that the agitation against the government will be intensified, the farmers say that they will stop agitation until the Haryana Police releases the farmers.

Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that the strike on the national highway in Shambhu has entered the 71st day. On completion of 100 days, a big gathering will be held at Shambhu and Khanauri border. On this day, a decision will be taken to intensify the agitation against the Centre.
