Farmers leave by train to participate in March 14 Mahapanchayat called by SKM

 A large number of farmers left for Delhi by train to participate in the Maha Panchayat held by farmer organizations across the country on March 14. The front had announced to hold a Maha Panchayat in Delhi on March 14.

 After being stopped at Khanauri and Shambhu borders, the farmers made a strategy that now they will participate in the Maha Panchayat at Delhi and reach there by trains and other means.

Farmer Forum Bharti Kisan Union Dakonda left today by train to participate in the Maha Panchayat in Delhi in large numbers. Talking to the media on this occasion Amarjit Singh Hani, the leader of Bharti Kisan Union Dakonda, said that the MSP of all crops Legal guarantee, full debt relief and old-age pension for farmers, implementation of universal public distribution system for the poor and giving full justice to the heirs of the martyrs of Lakhimpur Khiri are the key demands of Farmers.

Apart from this, farmers have also demanded action against the former Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar along with the Home Ministers, withdrawing from World Trade Organisation and the case against the culprits of Shubkaran Singh who died of bullet injury and Pritpal Singh who was allgedely beat brutally by Haryana Police.

Farmer forums are leaving for Delhi through their own resources to join the joint farmers’ march at Ramlila Maidan Delhi. Farmer leader said that despite the fact that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are going to be held shortly, government should fulfil demands of the protesting farmers and if not the struggle of farmers will continue.
