Ferzoepur: The big update in the alleged sacrilege Bandala village in Ferozepur case is that Ferozepur police have arrested one accused. The arrest was made by police on Monday. It should be noted that a youth was lynched by the people for sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib here in Gurudwara of Bandala village on Saturday.

Police have named 22 individuals in the FIR Lodged out of which one was arrested yesterday by the police. A Case has also been registered against the deceased Bakshish under deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings or beliefs. Bakshish was beaten to death by the people around after he had allegedly torn some pages of the holy scripture of the Sikhs, Sri Guru Granth Sahib, by entering the premises of the Gurdwara

Police Official reacting on the arrest said that police have arrested Jarnail Singh, the main accused who was seen in a viral video of the attack on Bakshish. Jarnail was on bail in an NDPS Act case registered under local Arif Kee police station in 2019.
