Financial aid of Rs 367 crore given bystate government to 2 lakh 25 thousand destitute children: Dr. Baljeet Kaur

Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that financial assistance has been provided to about 2 lakh 25 thousand children of the state.

Giving more information in this regard, she said that financial assistance of Rs 367.59 crore has been provided to 2 lakh 25 thousand destitute children of the state.

Dr. Baljit Kaur informed that a budget of Rs 377.00 crore was allocated by the State Government during the current financial year for the welfare of destitute children. Out of this amount, Rs 367.59 crore has been spent on destitute children.

Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister said that the government under the leadership of Chief Minister S Bhagwant Singh Mann is constantly making efforts to make the state ‘Rangla Punjab’. To make this dream come true, continuous financial assistance is being provided for the welfare of destitute children of the state and their overall development, which is a big step in this direction.

Dr. Baljeet Kaur appealed to the department officials to make people aware about these schemes so that more and more children can get the benefit of the government schemes.
