Fire broke out at 45 places in Ludhiana on Diwali night; Plastic warehouse burnt to ashes

Ludhiana: Last night, 45 incidents of fire due to Diwali crackers were reported in Ludhiana. Fire officials had set up a control room in the local station office. From there, the officials were sending vehicles by informing the sub-stations of the city about the fire. More than 35 water vehicles were engaged in extinguishing the fire.

Around 100 fire brigade personnel and officers were on duty throughout the night. Last night, the biggest fire incident occurred in the village Jarkhar near Gurdwara Alamgir Sahib. There is a warehouse of plastic goods here. It is being told that the fire broke out due to the spark of firecrackers.

As soon as the fire was known, people themselves started extinguishing the fire, but seeing the fire increasing, they immediately informed the fire department. Till 12 o’clock in the night, fire brigade personnel were on duty to control the fire in village Jarkhar. Plastic worth lakhs was burnt due to the fire.

Similarly, a huge fire also broke out in the police line in the city. The spark of the firecracker fell on the vehicles locked in different cases in the police line, after which the fire spread in no time. As soon as the news of the fire spread, there was a stir in the police line as well. A large number of vehicles have been burnt in the police line.

The police officers immediately informed the fire brigade. The fire brigade personnel took control of the situation on the spot and after about 2 hours of hard work, the fire was controlled. It is not yet known in which case the vehicles that have been burnt were locked. Today during the day, the police officers will verify the burnt vehicles.

The cylinder exploded under suspicious circumstances near the LIG flat in Sector 32 of the city. Giving information, Sumit Kumar told that he lives with his mother and wife in flat number 551. At the time of the incident, his wife had gone to meet relatives somewhere. While he was standing in the street with his mother. Suddenly there was a loud explosion in the house. When he went inside the house and looked, the gas cylinder had exploded there.

The flames of fire spread throughout the house. After which all the neighbors gathered and together they controlled the fire. Then the local police was also informed about the matter. Sumit told that his entire house has been burnt. Along with this, the roof of the house has also broken. Cracks have appeared in the walls of four houses of the neighbors.
